The Role
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of electrical systems and industrial equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility. You will work closely with the maintenance team to carry out preventative and reactive maintenance while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.
- Installing, maintaining, and testing motors, control panels, switchboards, and electrical systems.
- Completing scheduled inspections and maintenance activities.
- Working collaboratively with other trades and site personnel.
- Assisting across different areas of the site as operational requirements require.
- Completing maintenance records and ensuring compliance with workplace safety procedures.
- Working outdoors and at heights when required.
Selection Criteria
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Trade qualification as an Electrician.
- Current unrestricted Electrical Licence.
- Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure, or heavy industrial maintenance environments.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with electrical distribution systems, motors, and control equipment.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Willingness to work across different areas of the site and in varying weather conditions.
