Position Overview
We are looking for a driven and analytical Performance Marketing Specialist to join one of Sydney's growing hospitality groups.
This role will focus on managing and optimising paid advertising campaigns across Meta Ads and Google Ads, helping drive bookings, enquiries, website traffic, brand awareness, event interest and customer engagement across our group of hospitality venues and brands.
You will work closely with the Group Marketing Manager and Director of Operations to plan, launch, monitor and improve paid campaigns across multiple locations, offers, events and seasonal promotions.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has hands-on experience with digital ads and wants to grow into a more senior performance marketing role. Previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, venues, food and beverage, events or lifestyle marketing would be highly regarded, but it is not essential for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Meta Ads management
· Assist with the planning, setup and management of paid campaigns across Facebook and Instagram.
· Create and manage campaigns for brand awareness, traffic, engagement, bookings, lead generation, events, offers and promotions.
· Build and test different audiences, including interest-based audiences, custom audiences, lookalike audiences and retargeting segments.
· Monitor campaign performance and make improvements to budgets, audiences, placements, creative and ad copy.
· Coordinate with the marketing and creative teams to ensure ads have strong visuals, clear messaging and effective calls to action.
· Support A/B testing across different creatives, captions, headlines, offers, audiences and campaign objectives.
· Track and report on key metrics such as reach, impressions, cost per click, click-through rate, cost per lead, bookings, conversions and return on ad spend.
Google Ads management
· Assist with the setup, management and optimisation of Google Search, Display, Performance Max, YouTube or remarketing campaigns where required.
· Conduct keyword research for search campaigns, including branded, non-branded, competitor and location-based keywords.
· Write and test Google ad copy to improve click-through rates and conversion performance.
· Monitor search terms, negative keywords, quality score, cost per click and conversion data.
· Optimise campaigns based on performance, location, device, audience, time of day and budget allocation.
· Work with the SEO and website team to ensure landing pages are relevant, accurate and conversion-focused.
· Support tracking setup and campaign measurement through Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and ad platform reporting.
Campaign planning and execution
· Assist in building monthly paid media plans based on business priorities, venue activity, seasonal campaigns, events, promotions and new launches.
· Manage campaign budgets carefully and ensure spend is allocated effectively across channels.
· Help create campaign briefs for promotions, events, offers, launches and brand campaigns.
· Work with internal teams to understand venue needs and translate them into clear paid advertising campaigns.
· Monitor competitor advertising activity and identify opportunities to improve campaign performance.
· Ensure all ads are accurate, on-brand and approved before going live.
Reporting and performance improvement
· Prepare regular paid media reports for the Group Marketing Manager and Director of Operations.
· Track key paid media metrics and provide clear insights on what is working, what is not working and what can be improved.
· Identify opportunities to reduce wasted spend, improve targeting and increase conversions.
· Maintain organised campaign records, including budgets, results, creative tests and monthly performance summaries.
· Support the wider marketing team with data-driven recommendations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
· Some experience managing or assisting with Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns.
· A basic understanding of paid media strategy, campaign objectives, audience targeting and conversion tracking.
· Experience using Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager would be highly regarded.
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand campaign numbers.
· Good attention to detail, especially when setting up campaigns, budgets, links and tracking.
· A proactive approach to testing, learning and improving performance.
· Good communication skills and the ability to explain campaign results clearly.
· An interest in hospitality, restaurants, events, customer behaviour, digital advertising and business growth.
· The ability to manage multiple campaigns across different brands, locations or promotions.
· Previous experience in hospitality marketing, restaurants, venues, events, retail, tourism, lifestyle or multi-location businesses would be a strong advantage, but it is not essential for the right candidate.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
