Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. This role will support the engineering design, planning, and delivery of lift and elevating system installations across a range of projects. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with Australian Standards and engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems for lift installations, including drive systems and structural components
- Prepare and contribute to technical documentation for project delivery
- Determine materials, system capacities, and equipment requirements based on project specifications
- Plan, coordinate and participate in installation activities across multiple sites
- Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams and contractors
- Coordinate labour, materials, and project timelines to ensure efficient delivery
- Oversee mechanical testing and commissioning to ensure safe and compliant operation
- Analyse performance issues and implement engineering improvements
- Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, WHS regulations, and engineering practices
Are you the ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ideally you will bring the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in mechanical systems, installations, or plant/equipment engineering
- Exposure to lifts, construction, or building services (highly regarded)
- Strong mechanical design and problem-solving skills
- Solid project coordination and planning capability
- High attention to safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Ability to work in a site-based environment, including construction sites and working at heights
- Current driver’s licence (essential)
- Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain)
Salary $84,000 to $95,000 per annum
