What’s the role?
- Providing adult and childhood immunisations
- Assisting with care plans and supporting nursing students
- Supporting doctors in caring for patients in the treatment room, and assisting in emergencies
- Assisting doctors in procedures i.e. biopsies and any other procedures
- Providing assistance to reception staff as required
Is this role right for you?
- Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and hold Professional Indemnity Cover
- Unrestricted working rights within Australia
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs of general practice and interest in community-based nursing including patient education and health promotion
- Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, diabetes management, asthma management, enhanced primary care items, infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques, equipment, drugs and care plans
- Giving Vaccines or Understanding Vaccines certificate, or willingness to obtain
- Current Police Clearance and Working with Children (NT Ochre Card)
