About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in Stanmore. You will be responsible for administering, maintaining and supporting servers, Microsoft cloud environments, networks and client IT infrastructure, with a focus on system security, reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain Windows Server systems and IT infrastructure.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Manage user accounts, permissions, security policies and access controls.
- Monitor system performance, availability, security and reliability.
- Maintain system updates, patching, backups and recovery processes.
- Troubleshoot server, operating system, hardware, software and network issues.
- Configure and support DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi and network services.
- Assist with system upgrades, migrations and infrastructure improvements.
- Deploy and manage endpoint devices using Jamf School and other MDM platforms.
- Maintain technical documentation, system configurations and asset records.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to clients.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in Systems Administration or a similar IT infrastructure role.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Good knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and Wi-Fi.
- Experience with system security, backups, patching and endpoint management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full-time working rights in Australia.
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, system security and endpoint protection.
- Experience with PowerShell or Bash scripting and automation.
- Relevant Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, AWS, Azure or Linux certifications.
- Experience supporting cloud-based applications or AI-related infrastructure.
