Cairns Hospital is the largest major referral hospital in Far North Queensland, providing specialized health services and comprehensive care to patients from the Torres Strait to Tully. Our population is 260,000 with First Nations people making up 14% of the region's population. Cairns Hospital provides a range of specialist outpatient, inpatient, and emergency services from its CBD site on the Cairns Esplanade and has over 500 inpatient beds.
Your Role:
The Cairns Hospital Operating Theatres provide comprehensive, acute, high acuity, emergency and trauma care for the community. We value and follow the ACORN Guidelines and encourage our team to pursue further education.
The department has 12 theatres, including a Hybrid Theatre utilised for Vascular procedures.
Specialties include, trauma, general, orthopaedic, vascular, urology, gynaecology & obstetrics, ENT, plastics, maxillary/facial and ophthalmology.
