The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and approachable Medical Receptionist to join our front desk team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a critical role in ensuring the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with our Principal Doctor, nursing staff, and management team to provide exceptional administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Experience: Greeting patients warmly, managing enquiries, and ensuring a high standard of patient care from the moment they walk in.
- Appointment Management: Coordinating patient bookings, managing the clinical roster, and prioritising urgent medical appointments.
- Billing & Administration: Processing patient accounts, Medicare, DVA, and WorkCover claims accurately.
- Communication: Triaging phone calls efficiently and liaising between patients, doctors, and external healthcare providers.
- Data Entry: Maintaining highly accurate and confidential patient records in our practice management software.
About You
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar fast-paced healthcare administration role.
- Proficiency with Best Practice.
- Strong understanding of Medicare billing and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- High-level organisational skills and a meticulous eye for detail.
