Brentwood Kindergarten is a Parent Committee run Kindergarten dedicated to creating a welcoming and culturally inclusive environment for all children, families, and staff involved. The centre operates based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS). Our staff are extremely passionate about the education and care of all children and seek a Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team.
We are looking to have a qualified Co-Educator to join our team, commencing ASAP. This position is primarily to provide lunch cover on Thursdays however additional hours may be available for when staff are on leave. This Educator assists the teacher and educators in our 3 year old long day program by providing lunch cover. You will report to the Director/Co-Ordinator of the Kindergarten and all staff are accountable to the employer body of the Committee. The Hours: Thursdays 10am to 4pm (lunch cover) - additional hours may be available to provide cover when other staff are sick or on leave. Salary: In accordance with the Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Agreement (VECTEA 2020). Essential Selection Criteria: We will be looking for the following criteria from all applicants: * An Australian Diploma Qualification in Early Childhood Education as recognised by ACECQA. * A Current Working with Children's Check. * Meet the Requirements of the National Quality Standards (NQS) including First Aid Certificate, training in Asthma, Anaphylaxis, etc. * Able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to work cooperatively, productively and respectfully with the committee, staff, families and children. * Applicant should be reliable, enthusiastic, dedicated, cooperative and self-motivated. * Able to demonstrate their ability to provide safe and high quality planned care and educational programs that assist the overall development of the children attending the Centre. * Able to demonstrate a strong understanding and passion for the National Quality Framework and Victorian Early Years Learning Framework and to drive and support other staff in this area
