- Demonstrated experience in food preparation, food service, hospitality, retail, or a similar environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene requirements, and workplace health and safety practices.
- Ability to manage stock control, ordering, budgeting, and financial processes, including cash handling and reconciliation.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, suppliers, and volunteers.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, and support staff and/or volunteers.
- Commitment to providing healthy, nutritious, and appealing food options that align with school and government guidelines.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative, and solve problems effectively.
- Competent computer skills, including experience with ordering systems, point-of-sale systems, email, and basic record keeping.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to contributing to the school community.
Mandatory Requirements
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain one.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- First Aid Certificate (desirable).
Pay: $26.86 – $30.66 per hour
