Qualified Mechanic – Family-Owned Workshop

We’re a family-owned and operated mechanic workshop known for our quality workmanship, honesty, and personalised customer service. Mordialloc Service Centre has built a strong local reputation, and we’re looking for a qualified, experienced mechanic to join our team.

What You’ll Do
- Carry out general servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicles
- Perform logbook servicing in line with manufacturer specifications
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- Complete repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and other mechanical components
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional work required
- Communicate findings clearly with the service team
- Maintain accurate job records, including parts used and work completed
- Follow all safety procedures and help keep the workshop clean and organised
- Work as part of a close-knit team to keep jobs on schedule and customers happy
What We’re Looking For
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a qualified mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working on a variety of makes and models
- Confidence using hoists, workshop equipment, and scan tools
- Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- A current and valid driver’s licence (required)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a busy workshop
