Roster: Initial 3-month casual duration with the potential to move to permanent direct with the client | Working Mon-Fri from 6.00am – 4.00 pm.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sorting recyclables from conveyor line – fast moving conveyor, repetitive work, noisy and dusty environment
- Cleaning of working areas and outside
- Audit waste as required by Local Council Representatives and clients, and provide accurate reporting as required on time to a high standard
- Perform maintenance and/or safety checks on equipment as required
- Review existing procedures on a regular basis, with a focus on continuous improvement and safety
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in bailing or previous waste experience (desirable)
- Good work ethic and self-motivated
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- High attention to detail
- Commitment to safety
- Ability to complete repetitive, mundane tasks – working on a sorting line for long periods of time can make you feel seasick
