This role is fully remote but does require you to be based in Australia preferably Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
About the Role
Sendmarc is on a mission to make email safe for everyone. As a Sales & Business Development Representative (SD/BDR), you will be on the front lines of that mission responsible for generating and qualifying leads across both inbound and outbound channels. This is a hybrid role that blends the fast-paced responsiveness of an SDR with the strategic, account-based approach of a BDR.
You’ll work closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify ideal customer profiles, educate prospects about our value, and build a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-growth, collaborative environment and is hungry to learn and grow in the cybersecurity space.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Qualification
- Respond to and qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns, the website, and events.
- Proactively identify and research outbound prospects in target industries and regions.
- Conduct initial discovery to understand prospect needs, pain points, and readiness.
Outbound Prospecting
- Execute strategic, personalized outreach campaigns across email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Map and engage multiple stakeholders in mid-market and enterprise accounts.
Pipeline Building
- Consistently generate a healthy volume of meetings and sales-qualified opportunities.
- Collaborate with BDMs to ensure smooth handover and follow-up.
Market and Product Knowledge
- Develop a deep understanding of Sendmarc’s product, value proposition, and the DMARC ecosystem.
- Educate prospects on the impact of email impersonation, compliance requirements, and security best practices.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activity, conversations, and pipeline status in the CRM.
- Track and report on key metrics including outreach volume, meeting conversion, and opportunity creation.
What We’re Looking For

5-6
years' experience in a sales, business development, or lead generation role (B2B SaaS or cybersecurity experience a plus).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident and comfortable reaching out to new people via phone, email, and social.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Curiosity, coach-ability, and a growth mindset.
