We are hiring an eighteen-month fixed term Quality Control Lab Technician based in our Braeside Manufacturing Site in Victoria.
Purpose of role:
The purpose of this role is to ensure the effective sampling, testing, and management of raw materials, packaging materials, and in-process samples in full compliance with GMP, GLP, and Blackmores Group quality standards. This includes conducting accurate and timely quality analyses, supporting environmental monitoring and process validation activities, and maintaining the integrity, consistency, and traceability of all data generated within the Quality Control laboratory. The role contributes to safeguarding product quality and patient/consumer safety by ensuring all materials meet predefined specifications before use.
This role reports to the Raw Material Unit Leader and is will be working fully onsite in our Braeside Manufacturing site.
Responsibilities include:
Perform Sampling Activities: Conduct sampling of raw materials, packaging materials, environmental monitoring, and process validation samples in accordance with GMP requirements and approved procedures.
Execute Quality Analysis: Perform accurate and timely testing of raw materials to ensure compliance with quality specifications and standards.
Ensure Timely Sample Collection: Collect all required samples according to defined schedules, ensuring no delays to production or testing activities.
Maintain Data Integrity: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all laboratory data, following good documentation practices and data management requirements.
Minimise NRFT (Not Right First Time): Execute tasks correctly the first time by adhering strictly to procedures, reducing errors, deviations, and rework.
Support Laboratory Operations: Assist in maintaining raw material retention systems and support general Quality Control laboratory activities as required.
Manage Documentation: Create, review, and update relevant documents (e.g VMPs, SOPs, Work Instructions, forms, and methods) to ensure they remain current and compliant.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the sampling and laboratory areas to enhance efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence.
Who are you?
Degree qualification in relevant field (i.e. Chemistry, Science based)
Basic work experience in a laboratory environment or previous quality control sampling type work.
We are open for an early careered or fresh graduate for this 18 month fixed term role.
Understanding of the Code of GMP / GLP will be an added advantage.
Demonstrated knowledge of analytical techniques in wet chemistry area.
Perform all activities in a safe manner with reference to relevant EHS standards and regulatory requirements.
Ability to research, source, and critically evaluate technical information.
