About the Role
Assure Ability is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to facilitate engaging art sessions for adults living with disabilities at our office in Yagoona.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys encouraging creativity, building confidence, and creating an inclusive environment where participants can express themselves through various art activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging weekly art classes for participants with disabilities.
- Adapt activities to suit different abilities and support individual participation.
- Encourage creativity, self-expression, and social interaction.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Prepare and organise art materials before each session.
- Work collaboratively with support staff during the class.
- Promote participant independence while providing appropriate guidance.
About You
You will have:
- Experience teaching art or facilitating creative workshops.
- A passion for working with people living with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- The ability to adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
- A valid Working with Children Check (preferred).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (preferred).
