Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Machine Operator to operate and monitor equipment used in the plastic recycling process. This role is critical in maintaining high-quality production standards while ensuring safety and efficiency.
Afternoon Shift 2pm-10pm (training provided on day shift until confident to run your own shift).
Casual rates, typical roster is 38hrs per week with opportunities for overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor plastic recycling machinery.
- Prepare and load raw plastic materials via forklift and manage material feed systems.
- Adjust machine settings as required.
- Inspect final product for quality assurance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues.
- Unload materials from trucks coming into the yard.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
What you will bring:
- Prior experience in plastic recycling and forklift operation.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 20kg and work in a hot/noisy environment.
- Basic understanding of machinery operations and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
- Chainsaw operation experience.
- Forklift certification (essential).
