About the role
As a Grill Chef at The Meat & Wine Co, you’ll be at the heart of the kitchen, responsible for delivering perfectly cooked steaks and high-quality dishes every service. You’ll work with premium meats, managing the grill section with precision, consistency, and pride. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail and teamwork are key.
What we’re looking for
- 1–2 years’ experience in a similar kitchen or grill-focused role
- Strong experience with flame or charcoal grilling (essential)
- Solid understanding of meat cuts, cooking temperatures, and resting
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (advantageous, not essential)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Passion for quality food and hospitality
- Flexible availability across a 7-day rotating roster
