About the role
As a Senior Gardener / Team Leader, you’ll take ownership of delivering high-quality gardening and grounds-maintenance services for private homes, aged-care clients, NDIS participants, real estate & strata portfolios.
You will:
- Lead a 2-person crew and mentor your offsider
- Deliver high-quality gardening, hedging, pruning, mowing and property maintenance
- Leading softscape & hardscape jobs (turfing, edging, paving basics, retaining walls under $5k, garden installs, irrigation tweaks)
- Interpreting plans, scopes and layout drawings
- Completing hedging, pruning and property maintenance as needed
- Coordinating materials, plant selection and site readiness
- Manage daily job schedules using AroFlo & Deputy
- Communicate clearly with clients and the concierge team
- Ensure safety standards and SWMS are followed on every site

This role is ideal for a landscaper or experienced gardener wanting more project responsibility and leadership.
What we’re looking for
- A minimum of Certificate III in Horticulture/Landscaping, and/or openness to work towards a further qualification.
- At least 3 years’ experience in horticulture/landscape/trade or property maintenance with a minimum 2-year experience in staff supervision/training.
- Strong landscaping experience (softscape essential, small hardscape preferred)
- Hands-on skills: turf prep, planting, mulching, edging, basic paving/retaining, garden installs
- Demonstrated leadership or team-leading ability
- Great communication and client-care skills
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Organised, efficient and proactive
- Positive, proactive attitude and respectful demeanour
- Double COVID-19 vaccination
- Police check (provided at offer stage)
- Current driver’s licence (manual preferred but not essential)
- Current First Aid Certificate preferred but not essential
- White card
- Able to use mobile job apps (AroFlo, Deputy) or willing to learn
