Life Care Mission is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Support Worker to join our team for an immediate start.
We are currently supporting a client living in Nerang Gold Coast who requires a patient, empathetic, and confident support worker with experience supporting people with psychosocial disabilities and mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered support in accordance with the client's care plan.
- Assist with community access, appointments, and social engagement.
- Support daily living activities while promoting independence and choice.
- Build a positive, respectful, and trusting relationship with the client.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow organisational policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Experience supporting people with mental health or psychosocial disabilities.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations.
Desirable
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Mental Health, Disability, or a related qualification.
- Experience working within the NDIS sector.
