Job Title: Full-Time Chef
Location: Subiaco WA
Salary: AUD 75,000- AUD 85,000
Full Time Position; Approximately 38 hours per week.
We are currently seeking a skilled Chef to join our dynamic team at Subiaco, WA. The ideal candidate will have experience in the culinary industry and possess a passion for delivering delicious and high- quality dishes. This role involves a range of responsibilities centered around food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cooking food
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
- Select and train staff
- Freeze and preserve foods
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of one years of culinary experience .
- Thorough understanding of health and safety standards in the kitchen, including food handling and sanitation practices.
- Proficient in culinary techniques and adept in operating kitchen equipment and tools.
- Meticulous in food preparation and presentation, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality dishes.
- Capable of interpreting recipes and menu plans accurately and creatively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team- oriented kitchen environment.
- Good physical stamina, capable of working in a fast-paced kitchen and standing for long hours.
