The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials to construct and repair walls,
partitions, arches, and other structures
- Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications
- Measuring and cutting materials to required dimensions
- Mixing mortar and ensuring correct consistency
- Ensuring structures are level, plumb, and aligned correctly
- Repairing and maintaining existing brickwork and masonry structures
- Working safely on construction sites and adhering to WHS requirements
- Collaborating with other trades and site supervisors to meet project deadlines
Applicants for this position should:
- Have relevant formal qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying or
equivalent)
- At least 1 year of relevant full-time experience, in addition to formal qualifications
- In some cases, 3–5 years of full-time employment may be considered in place of
formal qualifications
- Hold a White Card (Construction Induction Card – mandatory in Queensland)
- Have a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Be physically fit and capable of working in a construction environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Current driver’s licence (preferred)
Pay: $76,515.00 – $90,000.00 per year

- Bricklaying: 1 year (Preferred)
