Fast and Curious ELC Kanahooka is getting ready to open its doors, and we’re looking for passionate and dedicated educators to join our team full-time.
As a brand-new service, this is an opportunity to help establish a positive team culture, build strong relationships with children and families, and shape how we work from day one.
About the Role
As an Educator at Fast and Curious ELC Kanahooka, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where children can learn, play and thrive.
Working alongside your room team, you will
- Build warm, secure and respectful relationships with children
- Support children's learning, development and wellbeing
- Create engaging, play-based experiences and environments
- Contribute to programming, observations and documentation
- Follow children's interests and extend their learning
- Work collaboratively with Room Leaders and the broader team
- Build positive and respectful relationships with families
- Support inclusive practice and respond to individual children's needs
- Maintain vigilant supervision and high standards of safety and wellbeing
- Contribute to a positive team culture
About You
We're looking for educators who are:
- Qualified with an ACECQA approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Graduate Diplomas are not suitable)
- Professional, reliable and genuinely enjoy working with children
- Warm and confident in building relationships with children and families
- Curious about children's learning and development
- Comfortable contributing ideas and sharing your professional knowledge
- Collaborative, respectful and willing to support your team
- Committed to creating an environment where children are safe, heard, respected and empowered
- Understand that child safety is everyone's responsibility and are prepared to speak up when something doesn't feel right
- Reflective, open to learning and committed to continuous improvement
- Able to work with initiative while contributing positively to a team
You will also have:
- Full working rights in Australia
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certifications (or willingness to obtain)
