Big Mervs Coffee, located outside the iconic Baz and Shaz Fruit and Veg store is a small, family-run coffee cart with a big passion for great coffee and friendly service, and we’re looking for an experienced barista to join our team.
About the Role
You’ll be one of the faces of our coffee cart, crafting high-quality drinks while creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our regulars and new customers alike. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing consistently excellent coffee (espresso-based drinks, milk texturing, etc.)
- Providing friendly, genuine customer service
- Managing daily setup and pack-down of the cart
- Handling orders and payments efficiently
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the workspace
What We’re Looking For
- Proven barista experience (you know your way around an espresso machine)
- Confidence in dialling in shots and adjusting grind as needed
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
