Musical Avenue School of Music is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Group Piano Teacher to join our growing music school in Clayton!
The successful applicant will teach our Encore on Keys group piano program, designed for children aged 5–7 and 8–12 years old. This is a great opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with children and creating fun, engaging, and structured group learning experiences.
This is an ongoing position, starting as soon as possible, with availability required afternoons/evenings on weekdays and morning/afternoon weekends.
Our group piano classes are designed to develop students’ musical foundations, confidence, musicianship, and keyboard skills in a supportive group environment. We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about teaching children and possesses the following qualities:
- Reliable, professional, and committed
- Warm, friendly, and engaging personality
- Confident working with groups of children
- Basic piano and music theory skills
- Strong communication skills with both children and parents
- Able to create a positive and encouraging classroom environment
- Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn
- Ability to follow a curriculum and lesson plan
- Able to adapt teaching approaches to students of different ages and abilities
- Holds a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or VIT registration

Previous experience teaching group piano or children is highly regarded, but we are also open to enthusiastic teachers who are keen to develop their group teaching skills.
