Award-Winning Child-Care Service seeking passionate and experienced cook to join our amazing team!
Working as part of a team of 2, responsibilities and essential skills include:
- Prepare cook daily meals and snacks for up to 180 children each day, in line with the approved rotating menus (Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter).
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and review seasonal menus, incorporating feedback and new ideas to align with nutritional guidelines and national quality standards
- Cater for service events and celebrations, available for additional hours during event days or high-demand periods as required.
- Ensure kitchen operations comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation at all times.
- Monitor and document food preparation and safety records as required by regulatory bodies.
- Use digital systems and software to support kitchen operations, ordering, and compliance
- Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a childcare, aged care, school or similar food preparation environment. Familiarity with childcare menu planning standards and the National Quality Framework (NQF) an advantage.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate. Strong understanding of child nutrition and dietary requirements.
- Excellent time management, organisation, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team, contributing to continuous quality improvement, a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.
- Experience with allergy management and dietary modifications.

Pay: $23.51 – $30.00 per hour
