Killarney Heights High School is a comprehensive co-educational school with a population of 930 students, 43% EALD, located 20 minutes from the Sydney CBD in a bushland setting near the northern beaches of Sydney. At Killarney Heights High School, we empower students with the knowledge and skills required to thrive academically, vocationally and socially. Through a rounded approach to education which caters to the whole child - the intellectual, the physical and the emotional - we support each student to achieve their full potential, inspiring them to become ethical, creative and compassionate leaders within and beyond their community.
We ensure equity and excellence in student achievement by placing evidence-based instruction at the core of our school and classroom practice. Through an unwavering focus on teacher collaboration, reflection and improvement, we ensure all students are challenged with the rich teaching, learning and extra-curricular experiences necessary to achieve the high aspirations we inspire in them. By focusing on the vital skills of problem-solving and critical thinking we empower students to approach academic and real-world challenges with curiosity and confidence.
We are supported by an active P&C and an engaged Student Representative Council. Working in partnership with families and parents, we instil a commitment to service and a shared responsibility for the success of the school community. We strive to create a vibrant, inclusive and connected school community in which positive relationships thrive, and all students feel valued and understood.
