Key Responsibilities
Coffee & Beverage Preparation
- Extract and serve high-quality espresso-based coffees and specialty beverages to set recipes and standards.
- Operate and troubleshoot commercial coffee grinders, espresso machines, and blenders.
- Maintain station cleanliness, including group heads, steam wands, and knocking out grinds .
Customer Service & Front of House
- Greet customers warmly, guide them through the menu, and accommodate dietary requirements.
- Process cash and EFTPOS transactions utilizing Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately.
- Deliver food and drinks to tables promptly and clear/sanitize tables for arriving guests.
Cafe Operations & Support
- Assist with basic food preparation, such as toasting sandwiches or making smoothies and fresh juices.
- Restock retail shelves, milk fridges, grab-and-go snacks, and napkin stations.
- Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and Worksafe/OHS guidelines at all times.
- Assist management with opening and closing duties .
Core Requirements & Skills
- Experience: Typically 1 to 2 years in a fast-paced cafe or hospitality environment with solid latte art and extraction skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to be on your feet for extended hours in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Multitasking: Seamlessly transition between making coffee, helping on the floor, and communicating with kitchen staff.
Pay: $24.95 – $44.71 per hour
Work Location: In person
