About Us
Maranello's Veloce (Tee Dee Group Pty Ltd) operates a busy dine-in and takeaway restaurant in Croydon Park, serving authentic woodfired cuisine. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful applicant will work across our onsite kitchens and contribute to maintaining our high standards of food quality, consistency and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and food safety standards.
- Prepare ingredients including cutting, slicing, shredding, baking and sauce preparation.
- Operate and maintain a traditional woodfire oven.
- Perform dough stretching by hand for pizza preparation.
- Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS regulations.
- Assist with stock rotation, inventory control and ordering of kitchen supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment during busy service periods.
Essential Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Cook, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience operating a woodfire oven.
- Proven experience performing hand-stretched pizza dough preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Full Australian working rights or eligibility to work in Australia.
Desirable
- Relevant commercial cookery qualification.
- Experience in a high-volume dine-in and takeaway restaurant.
Salary
$75,000 – $82,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
