We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Assistant Executive Housekeeper to support the leadership of one of Australia's largest and most dynamic hotel housekeeping operations.
Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you will play a key role in leading the day-to-day operations of Housekeeping across Crown's hotel portfolio, initially supporting Crown Promenade before transitioning across both Promenade and Crown Metropol. This role oversees a large team and is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest service while driving team performance and operational efficiency. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper also acts in the Executive Housekeeper's capacity when required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the daily operations of the Housekeeping department, ensuring service standards, productivity targets and guest expectations are consistently achieved
Coach, develop and manage a large team of supervisors and attendants, driving engagement, performance and accountability
Conduct room inspections and actively support housekeeping operations, maintaining a visible and hands-on leadership presence
Partner closely with Front Office, Concierge, Maintenance and other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and operational excellence
Manage workforce planning, rostering, labour allocation and inventory requirements to support efficient operations
Support quality assurance, compliance, health and safety initiatives, and continuous improvement projects across the department
About You
Minimum 3 years' leadership experience within Housekeeping in a hotel environment
Previous experience as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeping Duty Manager, Assistant Executive Housekeeper or similar second-in-charge role
Strong understanding of hotel housekeeping operations, with the ability to step into operational duties and lead by example when required
Proven experience leading large teams, managing performance and developing team capability
Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Moderate to advanced computer skills, with exposure to systems such as Opera, Workday, PeopleSoft or similar hospitality platforms
Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays, with rostered days off varying according to business requirements
