Permanent Part-Time Chef/Cook – The Flying Horse Café
The Flying Horse Café is looking for a passionate, reliable and motivated Chef/Cook to join our friendly team.
This is a permanent part-time position offering 4–5 shifts per week, with daytime hours typically 7:00am–3:30pm. Availability to work at least one weekend day is essential.

You’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running of our kitchen, preparing fresh food, assisting during busy breakfast and lunch services, maintaining high food safety standards, and helping deliver an excellent dining experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook café menu items to a consistently high standard
- Assist with food preparation and daily kitchen operations
- Work efficiently during busy breakfast and lunch services
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and well-stocked
- Assist with stock rotation, storage and ordering (where required)
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Deliver quality food and excellent customer experiences
Pay: $30.00 – $32.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ashmore QLD 4214: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Cooking: 1 year (Preferred)
