Job Description
We are a busy and well-established Japanese restaurant in Norwood seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Staff member to join our front-of-house team.
This role is best suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced dining environment and values consistency, teamwork, and service standards.
Evening and weekend availability is essential.
Key Duties
- Deliver efficient and courteous service during busy dinner periods
- Take customer orders and ensure accurate communication with the kitchen
- Serve food and beverages promptly and safely
- Monitor table flow and assist with clearing and resetting tables
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining area
- Support the team to ensure smooth overall service
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in hospitality service (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Confident communication skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to stay organised under pressure
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability
- Experience in Asian or Japanese restaurants is an advantage but not essential
- Well-groomed and professional appearance
- Available for evening and weekend shifts
Hours & Roster
- Starting from approx. 10–15 hours per week
- Additional hours may be offered to the right candidate
- Ideal for those seeking stable, ongoing work rather than short-term shifts
