What we are looking for:
We are offering multiple opportunities* for experienced Senior Safety Business Partners to join our Safety and Wellbeing team.
As a senior WHS practitioner, you will confidently engage with stakeholders across the organisation to provide practical, solutions-focused safety advice and education. You’ll play a key role in interpreting legislation, setting clear expectations, and fostering a positive, proactive safety culture.
In this role, you will lead and support team members while contributing to strategic safety initiatives and continuous improvement across Council. Partnering closely with directorates, you’ll drive meaningful safety and wellbeing outcomes through best practice approaches.
- Opportunities will be offered on both a permanent and temporary basis, depending on organisational requirements.
What your day will look like:
- Contributing to the development and implementation of contemporary safety strategies and initiatives
- Conducting workplace inspections and supporting risk management activities
- Leading and supporting incident investigations and reporting
- Delivering WHS training, inductions and safety education programs
- Partnering with business units to improve safety performance and capability

What you’ll need for success:
- AQF 5 Diploma in Work Health and Safety with significant relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in a similar senior WHS or safety partnering role
- Strong investigative and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence safety outcomes
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to safety and continuous improvement
