Role Overview
The Senior Private Lending Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving growth and expanding Thinktank’s market presence across the Private Lending space in NSW.
This role focuses on building and deepening relationships with brokers and aggregators, educating the network on Thinktank’s Private lending solutions, and identifying new business opportunities. You will play a key role in delivering tailored lending outcomes aligned to both customer needs and risk appetite, while achieving strong commercial results and sales targets.
Key Accountabilities
- Proactively engage with new and existing accredited brokers to grow Private lending volumes in line with monthly and annual sales targets.
- Build and manage strong broker and aggregator relationships across NSW, ensuring a high level of service and engagement.
- Deliver impactful product presentations, workshops, and training sessions to educate and build confidence across the broker network.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities, including under-serviced markets and emerging broker groups.
- Partner closely with internal teams (Credit, Settlements, Operations) to support deal flow, resolve escalations, and ensure seamless transactions.
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, CRM updates, and provide market insights to support ongoing product and strategy development.
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in Private or commercial lending, ideally in a BDM or broker-facing role.
- Proven experience working with mortgage brokers, aggregators, and third-party introducers.
- Strong understanding of Private credit, deal structuring, and SME lending requirements.
- Demonstrated success in a KPI-driven environment with a strong track record of achieving sales and volume targets.
- Confident presenter with strong communication skills and the ability to influence and educate.
- Highly motivated, resilient, and energised by building relationships and winning new business.
