WHO WE ARE
Founded in 2013 as Scape Australia, leaders in student housing, we've since grown into a vertically integrated living platform known as The Living Company; managing $17B in assets across Student Living (Scape), Rent to Live – Affordable Housing (RTL Co.), and Retirement Living (Aveo); spanning site origination, investment, planning, design, development, construction, and operations.
The Living Company is reshaping the way Australians live by delivering sustainable, community-driven, and high-quality spaces across the country.
THE ROLE
As our Intelligent Automation Engineer, you'll be hands-on in supporting, improving and expanding TLC's business automation capability across Scape, Aveo and RTL.co - keeping our existing Power Automate and RPA estate running reliably, while designing and delivering new workflow, RPA and API-based solutions that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
Working closely with business stakeholders and the Enterprise Applications team, you'll analyse processes, identify automation opportunities, build maintainable solutions, and help shape where emerging tools - like Azure Logic Apps, n8n, UiPath, Make or AI-assisted automation - could add more value than our current toolset.
Day-to-day you will be (but not limited to):
- Owning and supporting our existing automation estate across Power Automate cloud flows and Power Automate Desktop, triaging and resolving failures as they arise
- Designing, building, testing and deploying new automation solutions across cloud workflows, RPA, API integrations and data transformation
- Partnering with stakeholders across Scape, Aveo and RTL.co to identify automation opportunities and facilitate process discovery sessions
- Maintaining support documentation, governance standards and a prioritised automation backlog aligned to business value
- Identifying practical opportunities to enhance automations with AI, and evaluating emerging platforms where they may offer a better fit
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
- 4+ years' experience designing, building and supporting business automation solutions in production
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate cloud flows
- Hands-on experience with Power Automate Desktop or another RPA platform
- Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, connectors, webhooks, authentication and data transformation
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work with non-technical process owners
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail
- Experience with UiPath, n8n, Make or similar tools, exposure to Azure AI services, Power Platform certifications (PL-200, PL-400, PL-500), or experience in property, retirement living or similar operational environments will be highly regarded
WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN?
- Be part of a purpose-led organisation shaping how Australians live
- Exposure to a large, diversified living platform with real scale and complexity
- Strong focus on wellbeing, growth, and inclusive culture
- Competitive rewards, recognition programs, and lifestyle benefits
