About the Role
This is a part-time, office-based position located in Maroochydore.
Digital & Information Services branch plays a key role in improving digital capability and creating connected experiences for employees and the region.
As an IT Service Desk Officer, you will be a frontline contact for ICT enquiries, providing helpful advice, troubleshooting and first- and second-level resolution for defined service requests. This part-time role offers the opportunity to work across a varied technology environment, collaborate with experienced support officers and directly improve how Council employees’ access and use digital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first- and some second-level ICT support and advice.
- Provision user access, permissions and related services.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding access accurately and promptly.
- Maintain service desk requests, records and documentation to agreed levels.
About you
You have a Certificate IV in Information Technology and have recently worked on a service desk in a large public sector or organisation.
You thrive on helping people and enjoy delivering outstanding customer service. With experience in an ICT support environment, you can confidently troubleshoot issues and provide practical solutions that create positive user experiences.
You are an excellent communicator who can explain technical information clearly to a wide range of users. Organised and adaptable, you can manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of service delivery.
You are proactive, collaborative and detail-focused, with a strong understanding of service desk processes, user access management and escalation pathways. You take pride in delivering accurate, secure and professional ICT support.
