Project Analyst – Full Time – 12-month fixed-term contract
As a Project Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects by providing data-driven insights, reporting, and governance support across the project lifecycle. Working closely with Project Managers and stakeholders, you will analyse and interpret complex data, monitor project performance against key metrics, and help ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality and safety. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with data, influencing decision-making, and driving continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
Your Role in Action
Conducts data cleansing, analyses project data, and provides insights to optimise performance, presents conclusions and provides advice for business decision making processes.
Uses a range of business intelligence and data analysis tools to provide analysis and reports applying complex statistical and / or data visualization and other techniques.
Report the status of assigned project KPIs pro-actively and on an ongoing basis to key stakeholders and Team Leader.
Establish processes to enhance program management standards and procedures through understanding of best practice to facilitate continual improvement.
Provide technical support to Project Manager ensure financials are managed, maintained and forecasted and projects are delivered within the agreed scope, time, and cost without compromising safety and quality against project governance and project management methodologies / framework and analysis.
Support the project manager to build effective project teams across diverse Functions to deliver required project and program outcomes.
Undertaking regular audits of active projects to ensure ongoing compliance against project governance and project management methodologies/framework.
Provides investigation of data across different business systems to respond to ad-hoc queries.
Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required by team lead.
What Makes You a Great Fit
Experience in project analysis and governance including detailed multi-discipline in creating, updating, and distributing reports, analysis, data integrity, and problem solving.
Advanced knowledge of Report development software (e.g. Qlik), SQL Query capabilities, MS Access and MS Excel, including the ability to develop and interpret complex and detailed formulae.
Demonstrated strong experience and skills in databases and process modelling for large volumes of dynamic data.
Ability to align detailed orientated tasks with the "big picture" and communicates accordingly.
Well-developed analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience using Western Power systems including Power BI, Ellipse, DQM, P6, OPPM.
Basic project management capability and process improvement skills.
