We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures and fittings across residential, commercial, or construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good practical skills, and a commitment to workplace safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret building plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other building materials.
- Construct and install walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, frames, cabinetry, and other structures.
- Perform carpentry work for new construction, renovations, and repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality, safety, and project requirements.
- Repair and replace damaged or worn timber structures and fittings.
- Work collaboratively with builders, tradespeople, supervisors, and other site personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and relevant building regulations.
- Ensure materials and equipment are used efficiently and responsibly.
- Complete work within agreed project timelines and quality standards.
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar construction role.
- Relevant carpentry qualification or trade certificate preferred.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and construction methods.
- Ability to accurately measure, calculate, and interpret plans.
- Competent in using hand tools and power tools.
- Good attention to detail and workmanship.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Valid driver's licence preferred.
- Relevant licences, tickets, or site qualifications as required.

Pay: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour
