Ellico Group is actively recruiting for two specific needs right now, Dragline Fitters for a major Bowen Basin operation, and experienced floating fitters to support across our growing portfolio of mine site contracts.

Dragline Fitters - multiple positions, start soon
We have multiple Dragline Fitter positions available for a significant Bowen Basin operation. If you've got solid hands-on experience maintaining and fault-finding on dragline systems, this is a genuine long-term opportunity with a well-supported team behind you.
This isn't a role for someone who's been near a dragline. We need people who know the work.
Floating & Backfill Fitters - flexible, ongoing
We're also expanding our team of experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters for floating and backfill coverage across multiple Bowen Basin sites, including 7/7 roster options where available.
If you're a reliable tradesperson who doesn't want to be locked into one site, but still wants consistent access to quality work, this is worth a conversation.
Variety of sites, variety of equipment, and the opportunity to step into longer-term roles as they open up. If the right permanent position becomes available, you'll already be known to us.

What we need from you
- Certificate III trade qualification relevant to your stream.
- Minimum two years in mining or heavy industry.
- Current QLD Coal Board Medical and Standard 11.
- Valid Australian driver's licence.
- High-risk tickets (Working at Heights, EWP, Dogging) are well regarded. Strong familiarity with CAT, Komatsu, Liebherr, or equivalent equipment is what we're used to seeing.
Dragline applicants - lead with your specific experience. Floating fitter applicants, tell us your availability and what equipment you know best.
