Michelle Clarke Hair is a boutique salon in the heart of Double Bay, known for beautiful colour work, exceptional customer service and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. We are looking for a friendly, motivated and reliable Salon Assistant who is passionate about the hair industry and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

About the Role
As our Salon Assistant, you'll play an important part in ensuring every client enjoys a premium salon experience while supporting the stylists with the smooth day-to-day running of the salon.
Responsibilities
- Welcome clients and provide outstanding customer service from the moment they arrive.
- Shampoo, rinse and prepare clients for their appointments.
- Apply tints and treatments under the guidance of senior stylists.
- Prepare colour, foils and salon products.
- Keep workstations clean, organised and fully stocked.
- Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the salon throughout the day.
- Manage appointments using our online booking system.
- Answer phones, respond to client enquiries and process payments.
- Prepare refreshments and ensure every client feels comfortable and looked after.
- Wash, dry and fold towels and assist with salon laundry.
- Assist with retail sales and recommend professional home haircare products.
- Support the team with general salon duties to keep the day running smoothly.

Previous salon experience is an advantage but not essential. A willingness to learn and a great attitude are the qualities we value most.
