We are seeking a reliable and hardworking NBN Labourer / Simplex Technician to support ongoing projects across Melbourne’s South East and Outer East regions. This is a subcontractor role ideal for someone who is self-motivated, safety-focused, and ready to work in a fast-paced field environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform simplex technician and general NBN field labouring tasks
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and fault work as directed
- Follow all safety procedures and site requirements
- Work across residential and commercial locations
- Liaise with supervisors and team members to ensure job completion to standard
- Maintain accurate job notes and documentation
Requirements:
✔ Must have your own ABN
✔ Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
✔ Construction White Card
✔ Ability to pass all mandatory industry checks, including:
- Police Check
- Anti–Money Laundering (AML) / Background screening
- Valid working rights in Australia
✔ Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
✔ Punctual, dependable, and able to work unsupervised
✔ Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Preferred (but not essential):
- Previous NBN, telecommunications, or civil labouring experience
- Experience working with hand tools and small machinery
- Knowledge of NBN simplex tasks and fibre/coax environments
