About the Role
Due to continued growth and increasing project demands across the South East Queensland region, Contract Resources is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our Brisbane operations team.
This role will see you leading the safe and efficient delivery of site operations while working closely with clients, operational teams, and internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for overseeing day to day site activities, managing personnel, equipment, and resources, and ensuring operational, financial, and safety objectives are achieved.
We are looking for a strong leader with a proven background in heavy industry, industrial services, or contract service delivery who can drive operational excellence, build strong client relationships, and lead high performing teams in a dynamic environment.
Role Accountabilities include:
- Lead and manage site operations to ensure safe, efficient, and productive service delivery
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to Supervisors and site personnel
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Drive operational excellence and identify opportunities to improve productivity and performance
- Manage labour, equipment, subcontractors, and site resources to meet operational requirements
- Oversee equipment utilisation, maintenance planning, and compliance requirements
- Monitor site financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, revenue, costs, and margins
- Review estimates, variations, and commercial documentation in line with company procedures
- Identify operational risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies
- Ensure all work is delivered in accordance with HSE, quality, contractual, and company requirements
- Maintain effective communication between site operations, clients, and senior management
- Champion a strong safety culture and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
Requirements & Experience Needed
- Minimum 10 years' supervisory, operational, or technical management experience within heavy industry, industrial services, mining, oil and gas, or a related sector, or 5 years' experience in a similar Site Manager position
- Demonstrated experience leading teams in a safety focused environment
- Strong understanding of operational management, contract delivery, and commercial performance
- Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
- Experience delivering projects and operational scopes on time and within budget
- Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Sound understanding of HSE requirements and risk management principles
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
- Relevant Trade Qualification or Tertiary Degree required
- Project Management qualifications or training highly regarded
