THE ROLE
Reporting to the Executive Area Director, this position plays a key leadership role, being accountable for the day-to-day management of the Client Support & Housing Services Unit with a focus on leading the delivery of meeting organisational objectives, service delivery standards and timelines, stakeholder expectations and client needs. In collaboration with stakeholders and staff continuous service monitoring, quality improvement, improving models of service delivery and a focus on innovative approaches to housing and complex client support.
This role supports the strategic directions of government enabling Victorians to have suitable and stable housing through the implementation of the Homes for Victorians Strategy and implementing actions to reduce homelessness and improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable/disadvantaged Victorians.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Strategically design and develop the delivery of departmental objectives that impact significant localised service delivery and meet statewide departmental and government objectives and community expectations.
- With a high level of understanding of the local context, strategically review and implement departmental initiatives and approaches that impact service delivery and service system issues and support those initiatives to meet departmental, government and community expectations.
- Act as a key source of local advice by maintaining an understanding of issues impacting health services and the service system and investigate and lead critical projects that that enhance service delivery, budget effectiveness, efficiency or improved consumer outcomes.
