About the Role:
As Playgroup Assistant, you'll:
Lead our playgroup program for children aged birth to two, creating play-based experiences that nurture early development.
Support families as children?s first teachers, enhancing the connection between home and school.
Partner with an Anangu Educator to build a culturally safe, two-way learning environment, where children?s strengths and culture are celebrated.
Collaborate with the preschool teacher and broader team to ensure continuity for young learners.
When not working in playgroup, you will also support leaders, educators and students in other areas of the school as needed, giving you the opportunity to contribute widely and build experience across all year levels.
Build positive relationships and help shape a vibrant school culture that values connection, respect, and shared achievement.
This position operates in school terms only, providing excellent work/life balance while you make a real impact in the community.
Exceptional Benefits & Incentives
Annual salary between $67,000 and $74,000 (school terms only)
Approx. $10,000/year Locality Allowance
Fully subsidised, furnished accommodation (including utilities) accommodation may be shared
Relocation and removal expenses covered
Support for travel and accommodation for medical and dental treatment

Please note the salary amount may differ from that advertised. Salary is dependent upon your current employment status with the Department for Education, tenure and hours per week. The salary stated is based on an employee working 52 weeks per annum, full time equivalent. The successful applicant will be employed under the appropriate mode of employment.
