ATCO Gas is modernising the systems that power our billing, GIS and business applications and we’re looking for an Application Manager who can turn complexity into clarity, deliver systems our customers love, and keep our critical platforms rock solid.
This is a role for someone who can sit comfortably at the crossroads of business vision, technical detail and operational excellence.
Purpose of Your Role
As the Application Manager, you'll be the connector, the translator and the strategic driver behind our critical business applications and digital platforms.
You'll work closely with business stakeholders, architects, vendors and technical teams to ensure our application landscape is secure, reliable, scalable and aligned to business priorities. You'll own the application roadmap, guide investment decisions and lead our external application support partners to deliver high-quality services that enable business success.
Using data, insights and strong stakeholder engagement, you'll drive continuous improvement, optimise platform performance and ensure our applications remain fit for purpose today and into the future.
What Success Looks Like
Own and deliver an application roadmap that aligns technology capabilities, business priorities and long-term strategic objectives.
Ensure business-critical applications remain secure, compliant and resilient through effective governance, cybersecurity oversight and lifecycle management.
Lead and manage external application partners, driving service performance, accountability, value for money and adherence to agreed service levels.
Maintain application reliability and operational excellence through proactive monitoring, incident management, problem resolution and continuous improvement.
Build trusted relationships across business and technology teams, ensuring clear prioritisation, communication and alignment on application initiatives and investments.
Leverage data, performance metrics and user insights to optimise application performance, reduce technical debt and support informed decision-making.
Exposure & Experience We’re Looking For
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (required).
Background
Demonstrated experience managing business-critical applications and platforms within a complex enterprise environment, including roadmap development, lifecycle management and continuous improvement.
Strong vendor and service provider management capability, with experience driving service performance, governance, commercial outcomes and SLA compliance.
Sound understanding of cybersecurity, risk management and regulatory requirements, ideally within critical infrastructure or other highly regulated industries.
Proven ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships, translating business needs into technology solutions while balancing operational priorities and strategic objectives.
