About the Role
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated English Phonics Teacher to teach young learners in Pre-Primary, Grade 1, and Grade 2. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in English phonics, letter sounds, blending, segmenting, pronunciation, reading readiness, and early literacy development.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English phonics to children aged 4–8 years.
- Deliver engaging lessons focused on letter sounds, phonemic awareness, blending, and decoding skills.
- Support students in developing early reading, spelling, speaking, and pronunciation abilities.
- Use interactive and child-friendly teaching methods, including games, songs, stories, and hands-on activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents.
- Create a positive, encouraging, and fun learning environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching English Phonics to Pre-Primary, Grade 1, and Grade 2 students.
- Strong knowledge of phonics programs and English sound patterns.
- Experience working with young children in schools, learning centers, or tutoring environments.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping children learn to read.
- Teaching qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Education, English, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Specialized training in Phonics Instruction.
- Experience with primary school literacy programs.
