We are seeking a Vice President, Data & AI Risk Oversight to support the governance and risk management of AI and Generative AI initiatives across the organization. As part of the second line of defense, this role will provide independent oversight, challenge, and advisory support to ensure AI-related risks are effectively identified, assessed, monitored, and controlled.
The successful candidate will partner with business, technology, data, compliance, and risk stakeholders to strengthen AI governance, enhance risk management practices, and support the responsible adoption of emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilitie
- Provide independent oversight and challenge of AI and GenAI use cases, governance processes, and controls
- Support the development and enhancement of the AI Risk Management Framework, including risk assessment, monitoring, reporting, and escalation
- Review AI-related policies, standards, controls, risk assessments, and key risk indicators
- Partner with stakeholders to identify control gaps, drive remediation efforts, and strengthen AI governance practices
- Support AI risk reporting and presentations for senior management and governance committees
- Monitor emerging AI regulations, industry guidance, and evolving risks related to AI, data, privacy, cybersecurity, and third-party technologies

Qualificatio
- 7+ years of experience in AI risk, technology risk, model risk, data governance, or operational risk within financial service
- Strong understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI risks, governance frameworks, and control
- Experience with AI governance, model lifecycle management, risk assessments, and GRC or governance platform
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skill
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and relevant certifications preferred.
