Journey Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Diploma Permanent Educator to join our team in supporting the planning, implementing, and evaluating programs, for our children.

At Journey Early Learning Wallan Central, you’ll join a brand-new, purpose-built 104-place centre where educators are shaping culture, practice, and community together.
Across our Nursery, Toddler, Pre-Kinder, and Kinder hubs, learning environments have been intentionally designed to support children’s development—from calm, nurturing Nursery spaces to rich, interactive Kinder rooms featuring literacy, STEM, creative arts, and reflective areas. Each hub works collaboratively, with educators supporting one another across age groups to create a strong sense of teamwork and connection.
Our Kinder children also enjoy a weekly Bush Kinder experience, encouraging exploration, independence, and a deep connection to nature.
As a newly established service, there’s genuine opportunity to grow with the centre, contribute ideas, and help build something meaningful from the beginning. With Wallan Station within walking distance and multiple bus routes nearby, the centre is also easily accessible for educators.
⭐ About the role
This is a Permanent part-time opportunity across 5 days, Monday to Friday in the Nursery.
As our new Childcare Permanent Educator, you will be responsible for the development and fostering of meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the community. You will support and guide children’s learning, while developing your own career and knowledge within the childcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
Facilitate learning experiences for your allocated group of children
Assisting in the observation and evaluation of children's individual strengths, interests and preferences
Design and implement activities to be included in children's developmental program.
Be part of a collaborative teaching and interactive learning environment
About you
You are a creative and inspired early childhood educator with a passion to lead and develop age specific programs and daily routines. You will be a collaborative member of the team, working to build strong relationships with Educators, children, and families.
Key skills and requirements:
An ACECQA recognised Diploma or higher
Experience leading and developing age specific programs and routines
Current Working with Children Check
Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid Certificates
