About Us
St Michael’s is a leading independent co-educational school in St Kilda, educating students from Early Learning to Year 12 on one award-winning campus. We are seeking a Learning Assistant to join our Junior School team. This full-time, fixed-term opportunity begins in Term 4, 2026, and concludes at the end of the 2027 academic year. The successful candidate will engage directly with students, assist in delivering learning programs, provide general administrative support to teaching staff, and help maintain an organised and supportive learning environment. This role also contributes meaningfully to student wellbeing and the smooth, effective operation of the School.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Post-secondary qualifications in (e.g. Certificate III in Language and Literacy Aide, Education Support, Integration Aide, Teacher’s Aide or similar).
- Tertiary qualifications in teaching (early childhood and/or primary and/or secondary) is well regarded, but not essential.
- Must hold an Employee Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain this prior to commencement.
- National Police History Check (Obtained within the last six months or prepared to obtain)
- Anaphylaxis and First Aid (essential).
