About the position
The Administration Officer will provide the highest level of frontline customer service to the community, and reliable administrative support to ensure effective business processes.
This position will be deployed in Council’s Media and Communications Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional communication support for Council, including drafting media releases, newsletters, social media posts, and briefing materials, as well as coordinating approval and distribution.
- Help manage public and media enquiries relating to Council initiatives, events and policies, ensuring consistent, accurate and reputationally sound messaging across all communication channels.
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of systems, registers and databases.
- Proactively provide input into the development, implementation, monitoring and continual improvement of processes and service delivery.
About you
- Certificate III Business Administration or other equivalent qualifications or experience.
- Advanced competence in the use of Microsoft Office Software.
- Class C Drivers Licence.
- Demonstrated experience and/or capability to deliver the Job Specific Key Accountabilities (outlined in the Position Description).
- Demonstrated Fundamental Level key capabilities as defined in the Key Capabilities Table (outlined in the Position Description).
- Previous experience in using Civica’s Authority System (desirable).
