We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cook to join our team at the Rokewood Hotel.
We’re a busy country pub serving good, honest pub food in a friendly and relaxed environment. We’re looking for someone who wants more than just their next job — we want someone who is keen to grow with the business and become a valued part of our team long-term.
About the role
This is a hands-on kitchen role covering afternoon and night shifts, as well as weekend lunchtime services.
You’ll be involved in:
- Preparing and cooking meals for lunch and dinner service
- Traditional pub meals, specials and pizzas
- Food preparation and setting up for service
- Maintaining consistent portion sizes and presentation
- Following food safety and hygiene requirements
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and well stocked
- Stock rotation and helping minimise food waste
- Working closely with our kitchen and front-of-house team
- Contributing ideas for specials and future menus
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a commercial kitchen
- Is available for afternoon/night shifts and weekend lunchtime services
- Can work independently and as part of a small team
- Is confident during busy services
- Is reliable, organised and punctual
- Takes pride in producing consistent, quality food
- Has a good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Has a positive attitude and is willing to pitch in
- Wants to grow with the business and be part of what we’re building at the Rokewood Hotel
Pub or bistro experience would be highly regarded.
