Gold Coast Private Hospital is part of the Health and Knowledge Precinct and sits right next to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
A Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care, administers medications, monitors patient conditions, coordinates with doctors and allied health staff, educates patients and families, and helps maintain patient safety and quality standards. Depending on the ward, RNs may work in medical, surgical, ICU, emergency, cardiac, oncology, theatre, or recovery units.
Typical duties:
Assessing and monitoring patients
Administering medications and treatments
Maintaining clinical records and documentation
Coordinating patient care plans
Educating patients and families
Supervising enrolled nurses and assistants in nursing
Responding to emergencies and clinical deterioration
Participating in quality improvement and safety activities
Requirements:
Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent)
Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Clinical experience (many roles prefer at least 12 months of RN experience)
Pay: $6,800.00 – $8,700.00 per month
